Carl Espy

Carl Espy has been a senior level executive within the real estate franchise and relocation industries, having been a founder of both the Coldwell Banker and Prudential residential real estate franchise networks. Within his various roles throughout his thirty year career, Espy has been an integral force in the development and deployment of industry-wide business management solutions and fully understands the issues and concerns of real estate practitioners.

Espy is responsible for the sale of SureClose® into the residential real estate marketplace as well as to associations of real estate and multiple listing services, and other business lines that are dependent on reliable, high-volume business process/transaction management and document control.

Espy earned an MBA from the University of Alabama in 1975 and was a practicing CPA in Alabama and California until 1978 when he joined Colwell Banker Corp. in Los Angeles. He then became one of a small group of entrepreneurs in 1980 to found Colwell Banker Residential Affiliates, Inc. In 1987 he left CBRA to create Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations. More recently, Espy held executive roles at GMAC Global Relocation Resources ( a subsidiary of GMAC Home Services) and Weichert Relocation Resources, Inc. Espy is a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1970 through 1972. Espy also holds a real estate license in the state of New Jersey
