Avram Goldman

President & CEO, Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate

 

Avram Goldman is a widely known and respected San Francisco Bay Area real estate executive with more than 30 years' experience. As executive vice president of the Western Region for the Company-Owned Real Estate (CORE) offices, Goldman also serves as president and CEO of Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate.

Goldman oversees the near-term growth of Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate and manages the overall longer-term growth strategy for GMAC Real Estate's Company-Owned operations in the Western United States.

Goldman began his real estate career in 1979 as a sales associate with Valley of California Realty; he managed the company's Berkeley office after the company was acquired by Coldwell Banker.  From 1984 to 1998, he held several regional management positions before he was named general sales manager.

Since 1998, Goldman served as president and COO for the San Francisco Bay Area region, the flagship division of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in California.  Under his leadership, the organization grew to 34 offices and more than 2,000 sales associates, selling nearly $15 billion in residential real estate.  In addition, Goldman is national director of the National Association of Realtors and past president of the Northern California Chapter of FIABCI and the International Real Estate Federation.

A strong advocate for Habitat for Humanity, Goldman received the Humanitarian of the Year in 2006 for the San Francisco Habitat for Humanity chapter and was honored with the same award for the Mount Diablo Chapter in 2004.  Under his leadership, his organization raised more than $1 million for the national organization.

Goldman holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from University of California at Berkeley, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He holds the professional designation of Certified Real Estate Broker Manager (CRB).
